We have reached 28 weeks and it feels good! 5 weeks ago this day seemed like it would never come. I have many things that I want to report on and pictures that I want to post, but I am not able to tonight as the pictures aren't uploaded to my computer yet.
This past weekend was a lot of fun! On Saturday Chris and I went to my friend Lydia's house. She took some maternity pictures of us. They turned out great and I will share some as soon as I am able.
Sunday I was able to attend our last baby shower with a bunch of my great girls from church. It was so nice to see their faces again! Many of them pulled their money together and purchased our double stroller and two swings. I am so excited! We also got some cute little outfits and toys for the boys. It was a special day.
Today we went back to the Dr. The appointment went well and the boys are sticking it out with me. On Monday I am going back in for a detailed ultrasound where we will have measurements taken and we will be able to get a new weight estimate. I am also going to be getting a steroid shot on Monday and Tuesday to help with lung development. This is a pretty common thing with multiple pregnancies. This shot will help their lungs mature faster if I would possibly deliver them in the next four weeks.
I am feeling great about things though and feel optimistic that bed rest is really helping to prolong this pregnancy.
I am also going to start doing kick counts now. I was given instructions to lay down for an hour each day (that shouldn't be too tough!) and count the number of times I feel the boys move. I need to feel at least four movements in an hour. That also should not be a problem! They are nearly constantly moving, hiccuping, and kicking in there!
It is starting to sink in that the day is truly soon approaching. Chris and I are going to be parents! It just feels like yesterday that we were praying and hoping for this experience...and now here we are.
Here's hoping for many more weeks of growth!

28 weeks is a great accomplishment! Good for you for taking your "job" of resting so seriously for the sake of your little guys. :)
Sounds to me like you are doing a great job, mom and dad! Keep it up!
