Frustration

As I write this post I am beyond my limits of frustration with my son. Ever since Grayson has learned how to stand in his crib it is ALL HE WANTS TO DO. He no longer finds sleeping to be important, even though he is e.x.h.a.u.s.t.e.d. It has been over an hour and a half. I lay him down. He stands up and cries. I give it time. He keeps on crying. I go in. I lay him down. He stands up. He cries and screams. I give it time. You got the picture. Oh.My.Goodness. We have tried a few "tricks" to keep him from standing, but he is a smart little lad and he has figured it all out. I do not know what to do with him! I know in a few months time this will probably seem like a fun little memory of our little boy...but it ain't so funny today!

Help! Did your children ever do this? What did you do to get them to lay down and stay there?

Sweet innocent boy. Can you picture him ever causing his Mama frustration? Not me!

oh yes... experiencing his first taste of independence :) He's so adorable!! All mine did this and it was just a waiting game till they figured out how to get up and down with ease and the getting up lost some of it's initial excitement!! I pray this phase passes quickly!! :)

You can actually practice teaching them to sit down just like you teach them to get up. We had to do this for therapy with Aaron. Up...down...up...down...best thing is this toy that you put the ball in the top standing and have to squat or bend down to get the ball as it exits the bottom. Make it a game. He'll get it. Your boys are so precious!
