Grayson and Ethan - 4 months

Unca' Rodga and Auntie M came to visit along with Cousins Fred and Lia. It brought back memories of their own twins that are now 26 years old!

My beautiful little chubs

Me and my babies on my 30th birthday. What a gift!

Our babies are changing so quickly! It seems like every day they are doing something new! This past week Grayson found his right thumb, and a couple of days ago Ethan found his left! On Saturday we were laying and playing in the nursery. Grayson was on his tummy and rolled over to his back! About 5 minutes later Ethan did the same thing! I couldn't believe it and was so thrilled to be there to see it! What are the chances of them doing it so close together?! This identical twin thing is some crazy stuff I'm telling ya!

They are just continuing to thrive. Last weigh in both boys are about midway through 16 pounds. They are weighing size 3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. They turned 4 months old last week already!

It has been so incredible for me to see how they recognize me and my voice. There is nothing like knowing your babies know who you are! Tonight for the first time Ethan cried when he was carried away from me. He just cried and cried looking back over his shoulder to see where Mommy went!

They are really cooing to me now. We just carry on conversations and they talk right back! They also love when I sing to them. I sing them EVERYTHING! I make up songs for nearly every single thing I do with them. We sing songs about being stinky, songs about eating, songs about being messy, songs about smiling, songs about kicking, songs about dancing, songs about Kodiak, even songs about their Daddy every now and then. :) Just thank goodness nobody else has to be around to hear them!

The boys are sound asleep in their beds right now. I just heard a couple little grunts. Such sweet noises. The boys are currently sleeping from about 7:30 pm - 6:30 am. They are like little alarm clocks in the morning at 6:30. They are often not a minute past! I am so proud of their sleeping habits though and pray they continue when they teeth start coming in!

The teeth may be coming in soon too. The boys have been developing a lot more spit and seem to like chewing on things more than ever!

Quick run down on their daily schedule: this is mostly for me to not forget what life is like right now as things change too quickly!
  • Up at 6:30. They are SO happy in their cribs in the morning and usually lay talking to themselves for about 10 minutes before I go in and get them up.

  • Eat, play, and back down again at 8:30 or so.

  • Up again around 10:30. Bath time. Eat at 11:30.

  • Play and go down around 1.

  • Up at 3, play, eat, play some more, and go down around 5:15.

  • Sleep for a short nap from about 5:15-5:45
  • Play until bottle at 6:45
  • Down for bed at 7:30

They have really gotten into a groove and seem to be loving it. I sure love every minute with them!

So happy for you all!!! I love that you sing to them. I did/do the same for Makayla. The funny thing is, now she is starting to make up songs about our daily activities...even about eating pizza! So much fun. See what you have to look forward to?! :)

I'm so happy to hear that!! I prayed, with those little boys were still in your preggie belly, that they'd be great sleepers. God knows any momma of twins needs that!

SOOooOoOO thrilled to know that they are doing that for you guys.

Now. can you have them talk to my littest girl? She doesn't like sleeping through the night. She'd much rather nurse, thankyouverymuch.

What awesome pictures, Beth. You are a great photographer and of course, a great mommy! These boys really are changing every minute. Enjoy these times. Cherish every moment you have with them...as I know you do.
Love,
Mom H.
